Article Point: Good guy Tom Hanks helps someone with a big life moment during a Q&A session

If there’s one Hollywood star you can trust with something as important as a wedding proposal, it’s America’s dad, Tom Hanks.

While at an appearance fir the Texas Book Festival‏, Hanks took on the important role of wedding proposal facilitator in the midst of promoting his new book, Uncommon Type: Some Stories.

During a round of questioning at the event, Hanks reportedly switched things up a bit when he declared he was bored of the audiences questions.

Instead, he mentioned that a Ryan McFarling in the audience had something to ask a woman named Nikki Young. “Nikki, will you marry me?” Hanks said, referring to the question written on a piece of paper he read from.

Of course, she said yes—how can you not with Hanks right there?! According to the Associated Press, Hanks congratulated the couple while on stage.
